Infections, be it by viruses or bacteria, represent a major danger to life worldwide. Their dramatic impact on health, society and economy was demonstrated by the recent COVID19 pandemic.
Developing novel therapeutic approaches
Future pandemic pathogens may arise soon and it is almost impossible to predict, which. Thus, developing novel therapeutic approaches based on common features of danger that are directed against broad spectrum of pathogens including potentially emerging pathogens is therefore a high priority.
